Community partnerships support program impact and access to diverse audiences

Seeking to expand program capacity

Betancourt Javier - Score: 93.000

Excellent focused- data driven narrative with great argument for program and intervention, great emphasis on evaluation. Great inclusion of schools in a well designed project. all budget is direct to mentoring.

Concerns: Could use more detail on the artists. Program could use more expansive framework (more voices, more artistry directions); the diversity of the program, is not clear; what types of music and dance? cultural relevance and significance is not as clear as it should be; accessibility could use more inclusion though it is a good plan with ADA. Direct and indirect numbers not clear (400/4000)

Grundy-Lester Gabrielle - Score: 82.000
Data from previous experiences with providing art based mentoring would be helpful in supporting  this request.  As well, with the impact numbers, there doesn't seem to be a reference to a concert or performance after the program's conclusion that the mentored children do for the community to support such numbers.   Lastly, with regard to accessibility, given the nature of this programming as an out reach that serves children in public schools, mentioning the accessibility of these places would helpful in supporting a stronger accessibility plan or serving those with hearing impairment would be worth mentioning.
Hudson-Smith Suzanne - Score: 89.000
Accessibility score is low due to lack of Policies and Procedures; and a staff person for accessibility compliance.  Was this work completed by the board this summer?
Suau John - Score: 93.000
Good plan to monitor and evaluate success.
Vickery Clare - Score: 96.000
It's sad that we have to have a group like this in many ways but a very good use of art as therapy. It is nice that the funds are going to artists' fees. It would be great to hear how many students who come into the program for therapy actually wind up picking up music as a potential career path.
