Of course this is a good grant. In terms of impact and arts center in an underserved, geographically remote and economically depress area will always have great impact that an addition of rehearsal space to a huge thriving arts center. I would like to see and broader donor base, but obviously you have successfully gone to your community for funds. I love your mission.

...wasn't the Rooftop Garden completed in the last grant(2016)? I am dying to see it next week.

Is any landscaping included in this grant or is all the requested grant money going to the Large Rehearsal Hall project?

The scope of work was very detailed. Financial Impact of Project statement would have benefited from estimates of the impact. How many organizations will come if the project is complete? Measurable outcomes and goals are always encouraged. This grant fits in with the stated goals of the grant program. Would have liked to hear any plans around accessibility. Exactly the kind of letter of support I look for, from organizations that use the facilities.

Biggest question is on need as the building is only 2 years old and the organization's budget is more than $37 million.  Does not put into question the quality of the program and the need for this specific space, but it is a question of need and impact when there are limited state resources.

The Project Impact also comes off more as a "nice to have" than a real need with substantial impact on the organization and/or the community.

Otherwise a strong program and a well written grant.

Matching funds...are these for the overall multi-year campaign, annual operating donors, or those providing a match for this project?

Operating budget reflected nearly $2mm deficit, which is covered by preopening reserves.  How is budget looking for coming year or two?

Appreciate letters of support from users and minority communities, not just political leaders (who, of course support money coming into their communities).
